The Temp fuse Cutoff Link is also called a thermal fuse (GB9816.1-2013), which is a temperature sensing circuit cut-off device. The Temp fuse Cutoff Link can sense the overheating generated by the abnormal operation of electrical and electronic products, thereby cutting off the circuit to avoid fire. Commonly used in: hair dryers, electric irons, rice cookers, electric stoves, transformers, motors, water dispensers, coffee pots, etc. The Temp fuse Cutoff Link cannot be used again after operation, and only operates once at the fuse temperature.
It consists of a movable contact (sliding contact), a spring (spring), and a fusible (electrically nonconductive thermalpellet). Before the temperature fuse is activated, the current flows from the left lead to the movable contact (sliding contact), and flows to the right lead through the metal shell. When the external temperature reaches the predetermined temperature, the organic fusible melts and the compression spring becomes loose. That is, the spring expands, and the movable contact (slidingcontact) is separated from the left lead. The circuit is opened, and the current between the movable contact (sliding contact) and the left lead is cut off.
Thermal fuses have different functions depending on the product they are packaged in. Fuses made of special materials can protect circuits from overheating, that is, thermal fuses, also known as thermal fuses. Thermal fuses cut off circuit devices through temperature sensing, and can sense whether the electronic products of electrical equipment are overheating during abnormal operation, and cut off the circuit to avoid fire. What if you don’t know much about thermal fuses? Next, let’s see how to install and use them.
The steps of the thermal fuse installation method are explained as follows:
(1) When using lead bending, please bend from the part more than 6 mm away from the root. When bending, do not damage the root or lead. Do not forcefully stretch, press or twist the lead.
(2) When the thermal fuse is fixed by screws, rivets or terminals, prevent poor contact caused by mechanical creep.
(3) The connector should be able to work reliably within the working range of the electrical product and will not be displaced due to vibration and impact.
(4) When welding the lead, limit the heating humidity to a minimum. Be careful not to add high temperature to the thermal fuse, forcibly stretch, press, or twist the thermal fuse and lead. Please cool for more than 30 seconds immediately after welding.
(5) Thermal fuses can only be used within the specified rated voltage, current, and specified temperature. Pay special attention to the maximum continuous temperature that the thermal fuse can withstand.
