UMI TAM 250V 1A, 2A, 3A, 5A Ceramic Thermal Cutoff Fuse Link
Category: thermal fuse

UMI TAM temperature fuse is also called thermal fuse. It is a safety overheat protection component. It is generally installed in electrical products that are prone to heat. When the electrical appliance overheats and the temperature exceeds the abnormal temperature, the temperature fuse will automatically melt and cut off the power supply to prevent the electrical appliance from causing a fire. Under normal circumstances, the temperature fuse only serves as a power supply path in the circuit. If it does not exceed its rated value during use, it will not be melted and will not have any effect on the circuit. Only when the electrical product fails or produces abnormal temperature will it be melted to cut off the power circuit. This is different from the current fuse (current fuse), which melts due to the heat generated when the rated current is exceeded in the circuit.

Custom Built in Thermal Fuse link and cable
The thermal fuse is a thermal protector. Thermal fuses are mainly composed of melts and tubes, plus external fillers. When using, connect the thermal fuse in series with the protected circuit. When the current of the protected circuit exceeds the specified value, and after a certain period of time, the melt generated by the melt itself fuses the melt, breaking the circuit, thereby protecting the circuit. Electrical appliances that use a metal conductor as a melt to break a circuit are connected in series in the circuit.
Thermal Fuse Function and Application
The Thermal Fuse (Thermal Cutoff, Temperature Fuse) is Axial / Radial / Organic Thermal-Link(OTCO) safety parts that stops the flow of electricity to the motor circuit when a overheats. If the fuse is missing or broken, your motor will not start. The thermal fuse is sensitive to external temperature, and the operating temperature is accurate and stable. Small size, sealed structure. Reliable performance. Low resistance value. One-time action cuts off the current, and the current interruption capacity reaches 250VAC/25A.
