The Bimetal Disc 3/4″ Snap Disc Limit Temp Control Switch is a temperature controller that uses a bimetallic strip as a temperature sensing component. At normal temperature, this switch is in a closed state (i.e., normally closed).
Snap Disc Limit Thermostat is a common temperature control device. It is made of two metal materials with different expansion coefficients, and the temperature is controlled by their different expansion degrees when the temperature changes.
The following will provide an in-depth analysis of the principles, characteristics, and applications of the Snap Disc Limit Thermostat.
1. Principle
The working principle of the bimetallic Snap Disc Thermostat is based on the thermal expansion properties of metal materials.
Two metal sheets with different expansion coefficients are fixed together by welding or bonding to form a bimetallic strip.
When the temperature rises, the metal sheet with a larger expansion coefficient will expand more, causing the entire bimetallic strip to bend; on the contrary, when the temperature drops, the metal sheet with a smaller expansion coefficient will shrink, causing the bimetallic strip to return to its original state. The influence of this temperature on the bimetallic strip is then transmitted to the control system through the lever to achieve temperature control.
2. Features
The bimetallic Snap Disc thermostat has the following characteristics:
(1) Fast response: The bimetallic Snap Disc thermostat has a fast bending and recovery speed, can quickly sense temperature changes and make corresponding adjustments, making temperature control more accurate.
(2) High stability: Due to the use of metal materials, the bimetallic Snap Disc thermostat has high stability and reliability and is not easily affected by external interference.
(3) High precision: The bimetallic Snap Disc thermostat can achieve very high temperature accuracy and has important application value in industrial production and laboratories.
(4) Small size: The bimetallic Snap Disc thermostat is small and suitable for various occasions with limited space.
(5) Low cost: Compared with other temperature control devices, the bimetallic Snap Disc thermostat has a relatively low manufacturing cost and a long service life, and can be widely used within an economically feasible range.
3. Applications
Bimetallic Snap Disc thermostats are widely used in various fields. Here are some common fields:
(1) Household appliances: Bimetallic Snap Disc thermostats are often used in household appliances such as electric kettles, induction cookers, and electric ovens to ensure stable temperature of the equipment during operation.
(2) Industrial control: In industrial automation control systems, bimetallic thermostats are often used in temperature control loops and can be widely used in petroleum, chemical, metallurgy and other industries.
