The 17AM series thermal protector is produced by the proprietary technology of Texas Instruments in the United States and can accurately control the temperature overheating of electrical appliances. When the electrical appliance is not working properly and the surrounding temperature is too high, the bimetallic reed of the protector breaks the contacts to protect the electrical appliance. When the thermal protector cools down to a safe temperature, the contacts automatically close and reset.

The 17AM overheat protector (17AMH/17AMH+PTC) is equipped with a PTC heating element based on the 17AMH thermal protector. When the heat reaches the disconnection temperature value of the protector, the bimetal strip quickly jumps out, causing the two contacts to disconnect and cutting off the circuit.
